Your email address, so you can sign in. We never store a password, because rugup does not use them.

A location for each yard you set up, so we can fetch its weather. It is rounded to about 100 metres before it is used to look up a forecast, and it is never shared between accounts or sold.

Your horses’ details, the ones you enter, and the feedback you give on whether a rug was right. These only ever affect your own verdicts.

Photos of your horses, if you add them. They are resized on your phone before upload, which removes the location your camera recorded, so a photo taken in your field does not carry the field’s coordinates. They are stored privately and are not public.

A record of sign-ins, pairings and settings changes, with the IP address they came from, so you can tell whether someone else has used your account.

We do not sell or share your data. We do not track you across other sites. Sponsors get a monthly click count and nothing about who clicked.

Deleting your account from the account page removes your email, your yards and their locations, your horses, their photos and your history. Any paired wall display stops working immediately. This cannot be undone.

Deleting a single horse removes its photo and its feedback at the same time.

Weather forecasts come from Open-Meteo. They receive a rounded latitude and longitude and nothing that identifies you. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend.

rugup’s administrators can see your account: your email, your yards and where they are, your horses’ details including any health notes, their photos, and the notifications we have sent you. They look only to give you support and to run the service, and every time an administrator opens an account it is recorded.

Nobody else sees any of it. We never share or sell it.
